Their Story

"My roommate and I were catcalled on a night out one time. It was a Saturday night in February and we decided to go out in sweatshirts and plaid pajama bottoms (not remotely a 'slutty' or 'sexy' outfit). We were walking back from the bar and we were catcalled by a bunch of men driving by in a car. We yelled back at them and gave them the finger because it was annoying to be catcalled like that. The men in the car reversed and started driving backward towards us. This is when my roommate and I got freaked out and ran home because we were scared they would do something to us."

Their Story

"My roommate was followed home one time after being out on the weekend. A random man followed her all the way into the apartment building and into the elevator. Luckily there were other people in the elevator who noticed that something was wrong and made sure she got into the apartment safely. It was a terrifying experience."

Their Story

"As a freshman I met a senior who I was involved with for a few weeks who never made me feel safe with him."

Their Story

"Sophomore year I was walking home from class and a man followed me in a van and rolled down his window to watch me."

Their Story

"I can't count the number of times I've been catcalled."

Their Story

"While I was out at Tim's one night, an adult man (not a student) followed my friend around the bar and tried to follow her home after it closed. Luckily we had all of our friends looking out for her."

Their Story

"While I was working a man yelled at me and told me that I didn’t know what I was doing when I was stopping him from breaking a rule. He kept calling me sweetheart and screaming at me. I was physically fine but mentally it was hard to get back to normal."

Their Story

"When I was walking home alone from the bars one night, a male student sitting on his front porch with his roommates yelled, "Sup bitch" to me and started laughing. I crossed the street and started walking faster."

Their Story

"On several occasions walking around campus neighborhoods during the weekend, I've had men make comments about what I'm wearing or where I'm going."
